Today we planted an Oak tree at the Tugford campsite for John and Ann Clayton. It was planted between the 2 remaining oaks at the top of the field and close to the footpath that runs through the site. A plaque will also be placed at the bottom of the tree when the event is next run. John and Ann ran the Six Summits for 30 years. Thousands of Scouts, Explorers and Leaders have camped on this site on the last day of the expedition so it’s fitting that their tree will now oversee future events.
